Kansas Kid Trolls Cops With Weed, Watch it Backfire

When Lawrence, Kansas youngster Blake Alpert tried to troll the cops on Friday with marijuana, his plan very quickly went up in smoke.

Alpert tried to ridicule cops by vaping what appears to be cannabis, throwing up some ‘gang’ stuff, and blowing a massive weed cloud at a Lawrence ‘police car.’ He then Tweeted the video out to his hundreds of followers.

Hilarious, right?

Well the Internet hath spoketh, and the clear winner was the Lawrence Police Department’s comeback.

The next day @LawrenceKS_PD responded: “I’m sorry Blake, this is awkward, but that’s not a police car. You vaped in front of a water service vehicle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”

To date, Alpert’s Tweet has received 4,230 likes, 645 retweets and about 800 comments.

Lawrence Police’s snappy comeback already has a whopping 539,000 likes, 173,000 retweets and nearly 3,000 comments, and those numbers are climbing.

There is some ether speculation that Alpert was simply making a silly reference to a comedic look at gangsta vaping by YouTube channel H3H3. If so, his joke went over the heads of the entire Internet.

Here are some favorites of the thousands of comments:

@MajesticACTUAL: He’s straight outta straight outta straight outta the Corn Belt.

@markinzeroland: Apparently, vaping adversely impacts literacy.

@zflowrpowr: Trump University graduate in police science.

@missspeaking: You can tell which cars are police cars by the way they have POLICE written on them

@ArtIsMyPorn: Now do a rail off the power company’s hood

@sarboop: I got so much second hand embarrassment watching this

@TV_techSUP: You should probably let the Fire Dept know cause Blake got badly burned.

@robyonce: Kids, don’t be a Blake.

Kansas has some of the harshest cannabis laws in the country — possession of any amount of marijuana can result in six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.

Not only is the Internet dumping all over poor Blake, but the unwanted attention even had him backtracking on his prank gone wrong. Soon after the cops responded, Alpert threw out a follow-up tweet: “Also to note that was @Slickdog879 who vaped I just recorded it.”

Getting trolled by the cops so badly it goes viral on Twitter is one thing, but pointlessly throwing your best bud under a bus? Priceless.
